This document describes the app version that includes it. Older TestFlight builds may have different controls; update to a build containing these terms before using optional photos or location.
1. For parents and guardians
These terms describe use of The Girl Bug Hunters, an educational nature adventure for iPhone and iPad. They are written for adults responsible for a child's use. Please review them and the Privacy Policy before allowing a child to use the app. Children are not expected to enter a contract on their own.
Veliqon Play is the brand; Veliqon LLC provides the app. Questions and concerns can be sent to support@veliqon.com.
2. Using the app
The app lets players explore an illustrated world, discover animals, and learn through optional activities. You may use it for personal, family, and educational purposes consistent with the license supplied with your download and applicable law.
For App Store downloads, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the software license unless a separate custom license is supplied with that download. These terms describe our app-specific services and use; they do not replace Apple's agreement or its usage rules. Nothing here grants Veliqon additional rights to collect or share information beyond the Privacy Policy.
Please respect intellectual-property rights and use the app lawfully. The app, its software, and its artwork are owned by Veliqon or used with the relevant rights. You keep any rights you have in photographs you select. Selecting a photo gives us no ownership, publication right, or permission to use it for advertising or AI training.
3. Learning about wildlife
The game is an educational experience. Illustrated habitats, animal behavior, seasons, and regional collections simplify the natural world. A collection shows animals that might occur in a region; it does not report a verified sighting, provide a complete local species list, or promise that an animal is present nearby.
Real-world exploration requires adult supervision and judgment. Actions in the game are not instructions to touch real animals, disturb shelters, enter water, or approach a dangerous animal. Observe wildlife from a safe distance and follow local rules. Never rely on the app to decide whether an animal is venomous, poisonous, safe to handle, or safe to eat. The app does not provide medical or emergency advice.
4. Optional photos and Apple AI
A parent controls whether the camera and selected-photo features are enabled. Device authentication checks a device credential; it does not establish that the person is an adult or the child's parent. Camera permission is separate. You can turn photo access off again without losing your adventure progress.
Photo analysis uses Apple's on-device technology: Apple Intelligence through Foundation Models when supported, and basic Vision recognition as a fallback. The app does not send photos to a cloud AI service. Availability varies with hardware, software, and settings, and a suggestion may be unavailable or incorrect.
A result is a possible broad animal group, not a verified species identification or safety assessment. Field-guide illustrations are examples, not confirmed photo matches. The core adventure and illustrated guide can be used without this feature.
5. Privacy and saved progress
The Privacy Policy explains local storage, Apple AI, permissions, and the exceptions involving Apple's optional location service, backups, diagnostics, TestFlight, external websites, and voluntary support emails.
Progress and preferences are stored locally, without a Veliqon account or Veliqon-operated cloud save. Changing explorers uses the same saved adventure. Deleting the app, losing or replacing a device, or a software problem can cause progress to be lost. Veliqon cannot recover a save it does not hold. Any available device backup or restore is managed separately by you and Apple.
6. Updates and beta versions
We may improve or change the app, its lessons, and supported features. Device or operating-system requirements may change with updates. We do not promise that every feature will remain available on every device indefinitely, and we do not limit any update or support rights that applicable law gives you.
TestFlight versions are unfinished software and can contain bugs or lose progress. Apple controls beta availability and build expiration. TestFlight also automatically shares certain usage and diagnostic information with Veliqon; see the Privacy Policy before joining. Please have an adult provide feedback without unnecessary information about a child.
7. External services
Apple's app distribution, device permissions, backups, and other platform services have their own terms. An optional location lookup may send your location to Apple to suggest a wildlife region, after the in-app explanation and device-owner approval. Manual region selection is always available. Websites opened from source or help links have their own content and policies; opening an external link requires a separate device-owner check. We do not operate those services. Optional links are not needed to complete the built-in adventure.
8. Accuracy, responsibility, and your rights
We work to make the app useful and accurate, but educational content, generated suggestions, and software can contain mistakes. Please report a problem to support@veliqon.com so we can investigate it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away mandatory consumer rights. Any applicable rights to a remedy or refund remain available. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, waive class actions, or require you to bring a claim in a particular jurisdiction.
You can stop using the app at any time. See the Privacy Policy for removing local data or requesting deletion of support or beta information.
9. Changes and contact
We will identify updates to these terms with a new effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued rights. Where agreement or consent is legally required, we will obtain it before applying the relevant change.
